COME ROAMING WITH ME
“The grass is all green and the air is still free” here at St. Mary’s Orphanage & Day School. If you want to savor the memories of your schooldays, come to SMESA. The two big fields still beckon you to idle in the shades of the trees and watch the squirrels scamper up and down the tree trunks. You can enjoy the fleet of swans in a procession across the small field. Here, the nip in the north wind still heralds the onset of the festive season. Almost everything in order. Only, our childhood days are gone.
But is PAST really gone? Quite after we bump into someone in an entirely different place, in an entirely different situation only to discover that once he shared the same classroom with you in school. At once, the missing link is connected.
Past is what we selectively remember. Memories are, in fact, looking through a lens clouded with emotions. And the misty perceptions tend to overlook the exam-time trauma, the abhorrence to get out of the cuddly quilt on a winter morning to go to school or the trepidation to enter a class with unfinished homework. Still reminiscing the “good ol’days” formed an essential part of your soul’s growth.
So come over to meet your soul-mates here at SMESA. We are back in a family – old boys of different batches are here. Some with hair thinning at the temple, some with accumulate adipose around the waist and almost all with spectacles. All long to go back to the childhood days at St. Mary’s.
So where you stay beside the school or hundreds of kilometers away, you casn always keep in touch with us and relive your past.
